Incredible support from my husband and co-director Matthew Bass, along with my amazing team has enabled XL Displays to flourish and expand year on year. We began manufacturing fabric displays in-house which saw us expand into a new realm of manufacturing; opening a plethora of new & exciting opportunities for everyone at XL and our customers

Joanne Bass, founder and Director, set up the company at her kitchen table whilst on maternity leave and started selling exhibition/display solutions


Here at XL Displays, we pride ourselves on the journey we have taken over the years.  We are a family- run business that was founded back in 2010 by our Director, Joanne Bass, and operates in the heart of Peterborough.

Joanne started XL Displays when her first son was only six months old. She has since had three more children and had continued to grow and build the business in extraordinary ways alongside her husband Matthew.

We are now a multi-award business supplying exhibition and marketing solutions for the world’s biggest brands including the likes of Rolls Royce, BBC, Virgin Atlantic, ITV, Twitter, Amazon and Sky.

Regardless of who the customer is, our main focus is and always has been on providing outstanding quality products backed up with exemplary customer service.

Our dedication to ensuring excellence in customer service is ingrained throughout the business and emanates through our highly trained staff. We utilise the independent review site Trustpilot to monitor our customer satisfaction levels and we are proud to say that we currently have a rating of 9.9 out of 10 with over 13,000 genuine customer reviews.

We design and produce all our core portable exhibition stands at our 28.000sqft head offices in Peterborough. This allows us to have full control over the manufacturing process, implement strict quality controls and test-build products to ensure our customers receive the very best.

The hard work and sheer tenacity of our director, Joanne Bass, has been recognised nationally through having received multiple awards including The Peterborough Women Leader Female Entrepreneur Award and The Natwest Every Women Athena Award – the UK’s most prestigious award for female enterprise and the Forward Ladies Female Entrepreneur award.

Joanne inspires all staff members here at XL Displays, and with her mentoring along with her high level of staff training and expert managerial guidance – we have been able to excel as a business. Our efforts have been recognised nationally and as a result, we have attained a variety of prestigious awards that we are extremely proud of.

Through teamwork and commitment, we are honoured to have received The Peterborough Business of the Year Award 2014 and 2015 and Customer Service of the Year Award 2015. We are also very proud to say that XL Displays was named in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 league table 2018 for being one of the UK’s fastest-growing private companies. It was a huge achievement and milestone for us as company and just showed that all of our hard work and commitment pays off.
